Tylor has over 30 years of experience creating new products and business strategies for emerging markets. He is the Founder and CEO of Boombang, a product development company based in Los Angeles, California, and the birthplace of SMRTImage, a Boombang Venture: www.boombang.com. Tylor has developed over 500 products, which have generated close to $3B in retail sales. He has led strategic product development programs for a wide range of consumer, medical, and technology companies such as Harman International, Under Armour, Nike, Target Corporation, Simmons, Disney, Viacom, ConAgra, Logitech, Church & Dwight, Target, and Newell Rubbermaid. His work has been featured in publications such as Wired, GQ, Popular Science, and Fortune Magazine, and has been on display at San Francisco’s MoMA and the Whitney, and has been the recipient of numerous awards, including recognition from ISDA and Red Dot.
Mark Cohen is a Professor of Psychiatry, Neurology, Radiology, Biomedical Physics, Psychology and Bioengineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. His formal training at Stanford, MIT and the Rockefeller University includes engineering, biology and neuroscience. Cohen's career has been built on using the most advanced technologies to address critical and challenging problems in neuroscience and medicine. His work has included the invention of functional MRI to explore the physiology of human cognition, signal processing and analysis methods to combine EEG and MRI, computational machine-learning methods to decode human thought from imaging data and to predict and diagnose diseases.
Andrew attended Art Center College of Design with the intention of focusing his passions for both design and engineering. By integrating design ideation, user-centered research, engineering acumen, and manufacturing know-how, Andrew is able to uncover insights and apply them strategically. As part of the next generation of industrial designers, Andrew places an emphasis on creating and bringing products to market that have positive impacts on society and everyday lives.
Al Clark is an electrical engineer with a 45 year history designing audio products for the audiophile and consumer marketplace. Using his well developed analog design skills and 30 years of digital signal processing experience, Clark has created the industry's most advanced, and most respected DSP hardware. Al Clark has an extremely rare combination of skills in embedded design, signal processing, analog engineering, and device fabrication. While still a junior in college he invented three new phono preamplifier technologies. He later became a leading expert in floating point DSP, particularly for audio applications. Clark’s company, Danville Engineering, in addition runs a state-of-the-art precision SMT assembly line for printed circuit boards.
World renowned designer of Planar Magnetic and Electrostatic transducer technologies, Dr. C. is a skilled expert in Acoustics and Electromagnetics, and one of the world’s most passionate audiophiles. Throughout his career, he has focused his engineering prowess on the problems of high fidelity sound reproduction. His novel planar magnetic designs are incorporated into the highly-respected Audeze headphone series, where he is the chief technology officer. Dr. C. Has contributed to applications ranging from touring, and fixed installations, to military uses for long range voice communication. The novel thin-film methods used in Dr. Colich's recent electrostatic headphones are critical components of the outstanding sound reproduction offered in the Lumica system.
Dan Maguire is an Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department within the Valparaiso University College of Engineering. He has devoted his career (primarily in industry) to developing active noise and vibration control systems with a specific focus on vehicles - including locomotives, on-road trucks, mining haul trucks, construction equipment and aircraft along with HVAC and headphone systems.. Dan received his BS, MS, and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
A graduate of ArtCenter College of Design, with a BS in Product Design, Naia Simon has continued to hone her human centered design skills, working with organizations to develop scalable and sustainable brand and marketing strategies for growth. Prior to joining SMRT. She worked with the Coaniquem foundation to create a nationwide donation platform for international retail brands. Naia helps to express the SMRT Image mission, vision and values through compelling visual and narrative storytelling.
Mike focuses on bridging the gap between 2D and 3D. After graduating from the University of Cincinnati’s well known College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP), he now works for Boombang Inc in Los Angeles. While his title is Industrial Designer, Mike has filled multiple roles that include web development, marketing & sales, and client management. Upon joining the team at SMRT Image, Mike is both engaged in the product development, as well as the marketing rollout of the company via online presence.
Omar creates strategic partnerships with healthcare systems, governments, medical equipment manufacturers, and clinicians. He brings years of experience in physician training, contracting, sales and marketing, and clinical operations to these agreements, bringing a realistic, yet visionary approach to joint venture goals. Omar has launched multiple cancer centers and multi-modality imaging facilities throughout the world during his time with RadNet Inc. where he worked for 13 years as PETCT Specialist, Director of Operations, Vice President Strategic Development and Vice President of International Development.
Cameron is a Neuroscientist, an Engineer, and an Experienced Managing Director with a demonstrated history of working in the biotechnology industry. He is skilled in Statistics, Research, Matlab, Creative Technology, and Data Analysis. Cameron has made numerous technical contributions to the field of functional magnetic resonance imaging, with a particular emphasis in the integration of EEG methods with fMRI. Importantly, Dr. Rodriguez, through his company, Neuro-AI, coordinates multi-site imaging experiments that allow him to study and to understand the complex demands on busy imaging centers and their staff. As a core piece of his work, Cameron has concentrated on the need for labor-saving high-tech devices in the MRI scanning environment and brought his engineering skills to bear on solving these workplace challenges.
Dr. Bazih was a lead MRI technical researcher at the UCLA Center for Cognitive Neuroscience. Dr. Bazih has several years of research and technical experience with MRI and fMRI. Dr. Bazih has two pending patents, authored multiple scientific publications, has received numerous scientific research awards, and is a graduate and continues his involvement with the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Adam has started two previous medical device companies and is an active Tech Coast Angels member (TCA).
Schwartzberg is an award-winning producer, director and cinematographer whose notable career spans more than three decades providing breathtaking imagery for feature films, television shows, documentaries and commercials. As the only filmmaker in the world who has been shooting time-lapse 24/7 continuously for over four decades, Schwartzberg is a visual artist breaking barriers, connecting with audiences, and telling stories that celebrate life and reveal the mysteries and wisdom of nature, people and places. Louie is credited by many with pioneering the contemporary stock footage industry by founding Energy Film Library, a global company, which was acquired by Getty Images in 1997. In addition to his feature films, Schwartzberg also curates Moving Art™, the world’s first collection of 2D and 3D moving images created as fine art for digital screens, from going back to nature to cityscapes to visual effects.
