Mark Cohen is a Professor of Psychiatry, Neurology, Radiology, Biomedical Physics, Psychology and Bioengineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. His formal training at Stanford, MIT and the Rockefeller University includes engineering, biology and neuroscience. Cohen's career has been built on using the most advanced technologies to address critical and challenging problems in neuroscience and medicine. His work has included the invention of functional MRI to explore the physiology of human cognition, signal processing and analysis methods to combine EEG and MRI, computational machine-learning methods to decode human thought from imaging data and to predict and diagnose diseases.
Tylor has over 30 years of experience creating new products and business strategies for emerging markets. He is the Founder and CEO of Boombang, a product development company based in Los Angeles, California, and the birthplace of SMRTImage, a Boombang Venture: www.boombang.com. Tylor has developed over 500 products, which have generated close to $3B in retail sales. He has led strategic product development programs for a wide range of consumer, medical, and technology companies such as Harman International, Under Armour, Nike, Target Corporation, Simmons, Disney, Viacom, ConAgra, Logitech, Church & Dwight, Target, and Newell Rubbermaid. His work has been featured in publications such as Wired, GQ, Popular Science, and Fortune Magazine, and has been on display at San Francisco’s MoMA and the Whitney, and has been the recipient of numerous awards, including recognition from ISDA and Red Dot.
Mateo is a product developer with a focused background in engineering and design, applying his skill sets to the development SMRT's Comfort Suite. He plays a key role in shaping SMRT's form, function, and user experience, bringing a multidisciplinary approach grounded in his training at the USC Iovine and Young Academy. Sturla combines strategic thinking with hands-on design and development, contributing to a system built to perform reliably in one of the most demanding environments in healthcare.
Andrew attended Art Center College of Design with the intention of focusing his passions for both design and engineering. By integrating design ideation, user‑centered research, engineering acumen, and manufacturing know-how, Andrew is able to uncover insights and apply them strategically. As part of the next generation of industrial designers, Andrew places an emphasis on creating and bringing products to market that have positive impacts on society and everyday lives.
A graduate of ArtCenter College of Design, with a BS in Product Design, Naia Simon has continued to hone her human centered design skills, working with organizations to develop scalable and sustainable brand and marketing strategies for growth. Prior to joining SMRT. She worked with the Coaniquem foundation to create a nationwide donation platform for international retail brands. Naia helps to express the SMRT Image mission, vision and values through compelling visual and narrative storytelling.
Mike focuses on bridging the gap between 2D and 3D. After graduating from the University of Cincinnati’s well known College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP), he now works for Boombang Inc in Los Angeles. While his title is Industrial Designer, Mike has filled multiple roles that include web development, marketing & sales, and client management. Upon joining the team at SMRT Image, Mike is both engaged in the product development, as well as the marketing rollout of the company via online presence.
Elizabeth brings more than 25 years of experience across sales, marketing, and product development. She is recognized for building high-performing teams, forging long-term strategic partnerships, and driving substantial revenue growth. Before joining SMRT, she held leadership roles in the technology sector, with a focus on cybersecurity, serving in both public and private organizations. Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Science in Economics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and pursued graduate studies in Business at St. Louis University and Stanford University.
Omar creates strategic partnerships with healthcare systems, governments, medical equipment manufacturers, and clinicians. He brings years of experience in physician training, contracting, sales and marketing, and clinical operations to these agreements, bringing a realistic, yet visionary approach to joint venture goals. Omar has launched multiple cancer centers and multi-modality imaging facilities throughout the world during his time with RadNet Inc. where he worked for 13 years as PETCT Specialist, Director of Operations, Vice President Strategic Development and Vice President of International Development.
